A First Step Towards a Career – the Training Program is Taking Off at Eissmann Automotive Deutschland GmbH

This is where a new chapter starts in the life of a young adult: this supplier to the automotive industry, headquartered in Bad Urach in Germany, is taking on eight new trainees.

With plenty of commitment and in excellent spirits, the new trainees embarked on their vocational training with Eissmann Automotive Deutschland GmbH on 3 September 2012. This year the training team has been expanded through the addition of one dual university mechanical engineering student specializing in vehicle systems engineering, two dual university industrial engineering students, and one dual university business administration student specializing in industry. Also, this year for the first time a student from a combined course in communications and software engineering has been taken on. The training program in question is dual training as an IT specialist in parallel with an academic course at Hochschule Albstadt-Sigmaringen. Along with these students, two industrial salespersons and an upholsterer specializing in vehicle upholstery have also been taken on.

This medium-sized family firm has been offering places on technical, sales and commercial training programs since 1997. Eissmann also trains students from the dual universities in Heidenheim and Ravensburg including the Friedrichshafen Campus.

In order to make entry into the world of work easier for the eight new trainees, an interesting introductory day was organized separately from the routine part of the program. This included plenty of information and presentations, all of which contributed to a fascinating day for the new trainees, giving them all kinds of new insights into the world of Eissmann.

Even before the beginning of the training program in September the new trainees and their parents were given an opportunity to meet the entire training team. This induction afternoon was arranged by the current trainees, who gave the new intake information on the training and a guided tour of the production facilities before rounding the event off with a nice relaxed barbecue.

The managers of the training program want to continue to work hand-in-hand with the current cohort of 15 trainees on the company's training schemes – which are already of a high quality – to ensure that they can continue to offer high-level training in future.
