Bachelor of Engineering (m/f) – industrial engineering specialization

The course specializing in industrial engineering comprises 6 semesters, with each semester made up of both a practical and a theoretical component.

The theory modules, where students are taught specialist theory, are held at the Duale Hochschule Heidenheim. The following practical phase is linked with the theoretical phase, i.e. students are deployed in departments relevant to the theoretical material they have just been taught. This allows specialist theoretical knowledge to be subsequently put to use in practice.

In the foundation phase students are taught fundamental theory relating to all the sections of a plant. The course focuses not only on the fundamentals of mechanical engineering, business studies and IT but also on product and project management, technical sales, moderation, communication and presentation techniques plus English.

The course is completed with a bachelor thesis at the end of the third year, and if successful the title Bachelor of Engineering is conferred. Further information about this course is available from the dual university's home page.
